NADIR – The Network of Animal Disease Infectiology Research Facilities

The new issue of the newsletter of the NADIR project has been released, featuring a Guide on National and International 3Rs Centres.

Accessing international sources of good alternatives tools and data can be an important part of applying the 3Rs.

Currently there are limited internet resources available for identifying the 3Rs centers across Europe and globally, therefore NADIR has developed a List of international 3Rs Centres as a resource for researchers working in large animal experimentation.

NADIR – The Network of Animal Disease Infectiology Research Facilities

The new issue of the newsletter of the NADIR project has been released, featuring:

• NADIR Annual Meeting 2012: The NADIR annual meeting 2012 (months 38 of the project) was held on the small Island of Vilm in the Baltic Sea, in proximity to the larger Island of Rügen, Germany

• “Animal Use in Research and the new EU Directive”: The Animal Use in Research and the new EU Directive Conference, addressed the ethical, legal and scientific issues raised by the new EU Directive (2010/63/EU) on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes.

• Highlighting the Value of the ARRIVE Guidelines: Developed by the UK NC3Rs, the ARRIVE guidelines aim to improve the reporting of animal experimentations to ensure the data can be fully evaluated and utilised by other animal researchers.

• Upcoming Animal Experimentations Conferences – International events: An update of the list of the most important conferences related to Animal Experimentations planned to be held during 2013 and 2014.

• Transnational Access projects – Call for Proposals: NADIR invites the Research Community to bid for funding to carry out projects within the facilities participating in the network.

NADIR – The Network of Animal Disease Infectiology Research Facilities

The new issue of the newsletter of the NADIR project has been released, featuring:

• NADIR Annual Meeting: on the days 2nd and 3rd of November 2011, the 3rd General Meeting of NADIR was held in Barcelona, Spain.

• NADIR Training Courses: training courses are provided by NADIR partners. They are open to every scientist/student from European and non-European Countries.

• PTP – Parco Tecnologico Padano: PTP is the engine of the Lodi Cluster, which hosts many organisations involved in the agrobiotech sector.

• CReSA – Centre de Recerca en Sanitat Animal: the Foundation CReSA is a public foundation created in 1999 for conducting research in animal health.

• Upcoming Animal Experimentations Conferences: a list of the most important conferences related to Animal Experimentations planned to be held in 2012.

• Transnational Access Project: NADIR invites the Research Community to bid for funding to carry out projects within the facilities participating in the network.
