NADIR – The Network of Animal Disease Infectiology Research Facilities
The new issue of the newsletter of the NADIR project has been released, featuring:
- NADIR Annual Meeting 2012: The NADIR annual meeting 2012 (months 38 of the project) was held on the small Island of Vilm in the Baltic Sea, in proximity to the larger Island of Rügen, Germany
- “Animal Use in Research and the new EU Directive”: The Animal Use in Research and the new EU Directive Conference, addressed the ethical, legal and scientific issues raised by the new EU Directive (2010/63/EU) on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes.
- Highlighting the Value of the ARRIVE Guidelines: Developed by the UK NC3Rs, the ARRIVE guidelines aim to improve the reporting of animal experimentations to ensure the data can be fully evaluated and utilised by other animal researchers.
- Upcoming Animal Experimentations Conferences – International events: An update of the list of the most important conferences related to Animal Experimentations planned to be held during 2013 and 2014.
- Transnational Access projects – Call for Proposals: NADIR invites the Research Community to bid for funding to carry out projects within the facilities participating in the network.
